This is another reason to be taking Vitamin D3 every day.  It reduces your chances of getting heart attacks, strokes, or any other cardiovasular problem.

Data from the long running Framingham Heart Study reveals that persons with Vitamin D levels below 15 nanograms (One billionth of a gram) per liter of blood are twice as likely to suffer a heart attack, stroke, or other cardiovascular problem within two years when compared to those with higher levels.  When combined with previously mentioned data, that colds and flu occur at about 18 nanos, and that cancer occurs at about 8 nanos, the recommendation that a healthy level of 40-60 and above (as determined by a simple 25ohD test) takes on additional credence.  We also noted that the preferred supplemental source should be D3 from an animal source–the lanolin of sheep’s wool.

It is recommended that people should be taking at least 1000IU’s daily of Vitamin D3.    My husband and I take 2800IU’s daily with our formula’s.  I wouldn’t take any less then the 2800 we take now.  For me,   I want to live as long as possible and as healthy as possible.  This vitamin has so many benefits for my health and for everyone’s health. You should not be going without Vitamin D3.
